THE MOTHER of Charles Manson’s secret love child vows to fight for the helter-skelter madman until prison officials see what she calls “the error of their ways” - and release him from prison for good!
“I won’t rest until Charles is a free man,” Sister Margaret Peers told me exclusively. The nun claims she trysted with Manson just days before his arrest in 1969 and then gave birth to a daughter while his trial for the murders of actress Sharon Tate and six other people was in full swing.
“I’m not saying he isn’t guilty,” she continued in telephone interview from her apartment in Los Angeles. “I’m saying he’s been punished enough. It’s time to let bygones be bygones.
“Even Charlie Manson deserves a chance to connect with the daughter he’s never met. She‘s a respected doctor and she very much wants to bond with her dad.”
Sister Margaret, 61, says she entered a convent five years after she sizzled with Manson, who was, she claims, the first and last man to “know” her.
She declined to identify their love child by name, but did say the accomplished young woman “has Charlie’s eyes and quick wit, lives in northern California, and will celebrate her 38th birthday in August.”
Officials at California’s Corcoran State Prison, where Manson is serving a life sentence for orchestrating the LSD-fueled murder rampage that sent five members of his devoted “family” of outcasts to prison, aren’t talking a blue streak, either.
Asked about Sister Margaret’s attempts to free Manson, one high-ranking official snapped: “The only way Charlie is leaving the big house is in a pine box with pennies on his eyes and the lid nailed shut.“
The nun’s crusade isn’t going to thrill survivors of the victims, either. They’ve argued passionately against parole for “the most dangerous man in America” since he became eligible for release in 1992.
And to hear one observer tell it, “they‘re just getting warmed up.”
“I understand their pain, but Charlie can help them find closure if they‘ll just trust God and open their hearts to love,” counters Sister Margaret, who claims to have spoken to Manson “in several letters” and insists that “he wants his freedom as much as I do.”
If that’s true, he’s certainly playing it close to the vest, refusing to respond to questions from reporters who are anxious to hear what the 68-year-old “icon of evil” he has to say about the nun, his love child - and parole.
Scuttlebutt coming from prison insiders is as conflicted and contradictory as the madman himself. Sources have alternately reported that Manson:
O Doesn’t know Sister Margaret.
O Fondly recalls their one-night stand in the back of a stolen VW bus and still has “a thing” for her.
O Doesn’t want to meet his love child under any circumstances.
O Can‘t wait to meet his love child so he can kill her.
“Charlie ain’t just crazy - he’s real crazy,“ says a fellow inmate. “He’s senile, too. And all he wants to do walk down memory lane and talk about killing people and cackle like an old hen.
“But who knows? Maybe if you let him out of prison he’ll pull himself together. He’s still a charmer when he wants to be. Maybe he could become a preacher.”
The chances of a Manson parole seem slim at best. He’s already been turned down 10 times - and his next opportunity is in the year 2009.
Meanwhile, Sister Margaret vows to fight for his freedom “to my last breath.”
“Every mother in America knows where I’m coming from,” she says. “I’m not only doing this for Charlie, I’m doing this for my child.”

Sister margaret is a nut. I just cannot even imagine that it is even a true story although it may be. Manson certainly had his way with women but to feel he should be released is just insane. I am sorry Sister Margaret, I am a mother too but so was Doris Tate, and the mothers of all the other victims. And how about Sharon who was due to give birth within a matter of weeks. She was to be a mother and Manso and his followers took her life along with her son’s life. What would she say about it? You are delusional if not out and out crazy. Not one of those monsters deserve to be paroled. And especially someone who can convince others to murder for him. You said your daughter wants to know her father and bond with him? In a rats ass. I think your whole story is a lie.

I believe the man has served his time. He is no worse than other violent criminals who are set free onto our streets everyday after serving sentences concerning crimes far more worse than master-minding murders.
But, the question is, how does he survive on the outside? From his conception, the guy has never had a prayer- he is a product of his environment. With that said, he would be a danger to society, since he doesn’t have the needed social skills to get by. He would have no choice but to resort to what he knows- which is a life of crime.
It’s a very sad situation.

i think the whole story is a lie. That sister Margaret - she’s nuts! And i DONT think manson has “done his time”…think about the poor victims when u say that, think of yourselves, think of ur children. Would u feel comfortable knowing he’s out there on the streets just waiting to do his thing again? i sure wouldnt. I use to have a fascination for Manson, but come on! I definitely wouldnt want to see him free. He doesnt deserve to be free. Neither the Family members (like Susan Atkins and others). i really feel sorry for those people, but just take a few minutes to think about the whole thing : they are dangerous murderers. They shouldnt be allowed to just walk free among us !

He’s served his time??!! Get real. The only reason the man is still alive is the fact that the State of California killed the death penalty and automatically gave all death row inmates life with possibility of parole! Manson fascinates me, to the point of my husband calls him my “boyfriend” because I voraciously read anything I can get my hands on about him. But even I don’t delude myself into thinking that he should ever be set free. He’s not served his time until he is, like the guard said, removed from the prison in a pine box.

THERE IS ENOUGH MURDERS AND CRAZY PEOPLE ON THE LOOSE TODAY. CHARLES WOULD JUST BE ANOTHER NUT JOB TO WATCH OUT FOR.
Becky // January 18, 2008 at 7:22 pm
ANYONE CRAZY ENOUGH TO LET CHARLES MANSON OUT SHOULD BE IN A CELL RIGHT NEXT TO HIM. CHARLES MANSON SHOULD ROT IN PRISON FOR THE REST OF HIS DAYS!

I wasn’t even 2 years old when this happened, so I don’t remember it actually happened, but growing up the story has always amazed me, in a scary way. I was on camp leguene during the ronnie curtis murders in 1987. (he walked in to his LT.’s house and brutally stabbed his LT. and the LT.’s wife. I was a cook at the chowhall and remembered ronnie coming through the chowline, what a big dude. But to get back to Manson, no, he should never get out, and when he dies, then he will pay, for the devil is waiting for his soul.

charlie, charlie, charlie. I spent 20years in prison and i have seen all kinds and types of people come and go through the prison system. I am no ones judge but i do believe that anyone deserves a second chance. Charlie has been locked up a very long time. Is Charlie really crazy? I think a lot of his antics are simply a way for him to pass his time while incarcerated. i think he could and should be released under a very strict supervised monitoring system. He could be returned to prison at amoments notice.

To RLM: You give C.Manson way to much credit. He didn’t master mind anything. What he and his so called followers did is nothing but unorganized, outrageous, cold hearted, crazed out blood bath murders. Master Mind is carefully planed with precision, done quietly and leaves no evidence. He treated his victims like they were “pigs” and their homes were the slaughter houses.
Did he serve is time? Tell me RLM. Does he regret what he did? Did all his victims treat him so horribly that they deserved to be slaughtered? No, his victims were a random picking and he is so proud of himself. That makes him the worst kind of murder. Remember, he killed because he FELT like it.

Charles Manson has been in prison for over thirty years,,,, “and didn’t kill ANYONE”. All other murder’s in California get out in way less time. And they “HAVE” killed someone. Manson is still in prison because no-one will ever take responsibility for making the decision. Those are facts!
Mark // January 31, 2008 at 2:30 am
charlie manson isn’t crazy he’s someone that wanted revenge for being rejected by the music industry.but didn’t have the ball’s to carry out the act.instead he was able to influence a bunch of drug induced social misfits to do it for him. he should have been in politics . as far as i know he has never killed anyone.i believe he has done more than enough time for his crimes.hell look at OJ simpson .how about GOERGE BUSH he’s responsible for several deaths every week but were worried about some washed up wanna be rock star hippie that thinks he’s god!i say let him out.chances are someone would assassinate him anyway!
Tom // January 31, 2008 at 9:22 pm
I agree with you Mark, Our so-called leader (Bush) kills American men everyday,,,, “all for OIL. I don’t think Charlie would last long on the outside, but he has definitely done his time, “because if your stupid enough to go kill people “just because you were told to,,,,, then join the Army.
Manson is harmless.
dennis // February 1, 2008 at 3:09 am
You can come to my house Charlie…
William // February 17, 2008 at 2:37 pm
Well I guess if he is still a bit blood crazed then it would do no good to let him out.

Sister Margaret’s story is certainly interesting and I will give her the benefit of the doubt. For a woman of god to come out with such a shocking story, wow,I’d love to hear more. She seems very passionate and determined. I think she brought up a good point. Time has been served on this crime which was so full of media hype, conflicting stories(mostly from people on hard drugs),I don’t know if anyone knows the real truth of the matter. I don’t feel like Manson is a dangerous man. There are far more dangerous people walking the streets, shooting our campuses, starting wars, molesting and harming our children, killing their own infants. Those are the people who scare me,not some old hippy guy who took the blame for a bunch of drugged out people who committed some murders. I think we should focus on the current violence and threats that are all around us and pardon old, harmless people such as Mr. Manson who were involved in a crime almost 40 years ago!He has served more than enough time. I wouldn’t feel threatened by him as much as I do by the anger of our current generation .
hippy girl // March 15, 2008 at 6:12 pm
its true he didnt kill anyone and its true that people who do actually murder people in cold blood with far more insainity are freed far earlier. Of course charlie should be freed. Watched and monitored because so many people believed the hype he would hundreds of people trying to follow him…….. also trying to kill him. Its crazy to think though there are men walking the streets free tonite that have murdered and sexualy assalted children who have served far less time. Yes charlie was wrong, yes he deserved to serve time but its well enough now. Time to let him go and spend the small amount of time he has left on this earth helping us understand why the fuck someone like him can control kids minds but the goverenment and parents of today cant stop their own children killing each other everyday.

i study serial killers and i do know one thing, if charlie is let out hell kill agian, he still has followers outside as well as inside, hes better left behind bars so we dont lose another presious person like sharon tate.
lucy // March 21, 2008 at 9:51 pm
once a serial killer always a serial killer,
Mary // March 22, 2008 at 6:28 pm
Even if this Sister IS telling the truth, which is questionable, what difference does it make? Let’s say that her and Manson’s “daughter” want him freed, and want to “bond” with him—was Sharon Tate allowed to “bond” with her baby? Uh, no, she wasn’t even allowed to HAVE the baby. The killers stated that while Sharon was pleading with her killers “please I just want to have my baby, please give me 2 weeks to have my baby then you can kill me”—-people need to keep this in mind. Yes, it saddens me TO A DEGREE that Manson and his “family” are in prison—but ONLY that they made the choices to take lives plus ruin their own lives, their families, and most importantly the victims’ families, that’s what saddens me. I read alot about true crime, and alot of times more than not, a person is sentenced to life in prison, or death, for ONE killing. Think about how many killings we’re talking about here. All of that life. I’m not saying none of them are rehabilitated or remorseful, I’ve heard most are, but they still need to pay the price. I’ve read on this site some of the replies that Charlie didn’t kill anyone. No, I don’t think he did. But, if he knew these followers would REALLY do something if he said, and he told them to, he is just as responsible. I’m not taking responsibility away from Tex, Patricia, Leslie, Susan, etc., they certainly had a choice, they did it without Manson standing over them. All have blood on their hands. As far as George W Bush goes, I don’t like everything he does, but to compare him to the Manson family is ridiculous. I feel horrible for every single soldier and their families who has been killed. It’s awful. My husband was in the reserves, and he was in Iraq for 7 months. I was scared to death. I didn’t want him killed or anyone else killed. (thankfully he’s here back home safe) But whether the war is wrong or not, and this isn’t the place to debate that, people in the military choose to go into the military, and choose the possibility of being put in harm’s way. (and I am NOT saying they deserve what happens) My husband told me this. Sharon, Voyteck, Abigail, Jay, Steven, Leno, and Rosemary didn’t choose to be put in harm’s way. Manson and his “family” made their choices. I hope all of them now realize what that choice meant for them, and are remorseful, and can be better people, but they need to stay where they are. Sorry for going on for so long but this case has always been one of the big ones I’ve followed.

Charlie is X’d out…..isn’t that what he said? He should be dead. Anyone who thinks he’s innocent should be X’d out too. He was always known for playing mind games. He’s playing mind games with anyone who thinks he should be released. “I’m the devil…and the devil always shaves his head.”(Healter Skelter)
Jeannemarie // April 12, 2008 at 11:35 am
Charlie needs to die in prison.PERIOD.
maureen g. o'brien // April 21, 2008 at 12:23 am
There have been reports that he was used by the gov’t in mind control experiments while incarcerated - not that something like that excuses his actions - I grew up in West Hollywood and was about seven when it happened - he became The Boogeyman Incarnate - but has anyone heard of this? I wouldn’t put it past our gov’t - I’m just wondering if there’s any more out there!
Tom // May 9, 2008 at 8:59 pm
For all you people who think he should never get out, I hope some day you do something stupid and your locked up for just one night,,,, “your all gonna cry like little babies, “screaming “”It’s not my fault”".
Anyone who would incarcerate Charlie for longer then he has been in, “you don’t have a clue” and you rely on the tv & media for all life’s decisions.

Since when is a sister a “woman of God”. Last I checked, Catholicism is also a cult. Any religion that claims you need to work to get into heaven is a cult. They add to the finished work of Jesus Christ. Jesus died ONCE for everyone - not weekly in a “Mass”. If we repent of our sins and accept that He died for us, we will be saved and go to heaven. There is no other way. NOT by works - which is what every cult teaches - including the Catholic church. Cults also worship additional things/people (i.e. like Mary the mother of Jesus) No one knows Charlie’s heart except Jesus Christ, so no one can judge him innocent or guilty as far as if he is going to heaven or hell. Remember that ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. God sees all sin as equal. There are no mortal or venial things. These are things made up by the Catholic church. It is not in the bible. It is because of sin that we need a savior. God cannot be in the presence of unholiness. Sin makes us unholy. Accepting Christ’s sacrifice, cleanses us of our sin. Won’t you accept Him today? Your eternity in heaven is depending on it.
